Here’s an unsubscribe reply that made me chuckle and wince at the same time.
“Please unsubscribe XXXX from your mailing list; he doesn’t work here any more thank f…!”
It got me wondering what XXXX had done to create such a warm feeling among his colleagues?
Sadly we will never know.
On a happier note, email is still one of the best ways to build rapport with your audience.
It could be argued doubly so; most people who are working are now doing so from home.
For this reason, reaching people by phone is harder but you can use email to set-up phone or video call appointments.
It’s a way of working I’ve used for some years. Usually when undertaking qualitative research projects or when trying to reach sales decision-makers.
Next month, I’ll be releasing a training course on this particular subject.
It will teach how to organise and conduct qualitative research with clients, sales prospects and market influencers.
The course is designed to solve the problem many marketers face when it comes to gathering accurate qualitative information quickly and cost-effectively.
As we return to some kind of “normalisation” having an accurate reading of what’s happening with clients and prospective clients will be essential.
If you need insight but don’t want to do the calls, I and my colleagues can handle the whole project for you.
Plus, I can also write the copy for the emails required to set-up the appointments. For more on copywriting see this page.
To receive detail on the course or start a conversation about research or copywriting, complete the form below.
Meantime, let’s hope XXXX will find a happier fit in his next role!
